Wotcher Harry Potter fans!
Most of you have probably noticed that I say “wotcher” at the beginning of every post. Why is this? Well, for starters, “wotcher” is a greeting, used mostly in Britain. It means, “what’s up”, but in that way that means, “hello”.
Also, Tonks says “wotcher” all the time, and she is my absolute favorite character. Soon after reading Deathly Hallows, I always said “wotcher”. I also made a bracelet that says “W-O-T-C-H-E-R”, which I never take off. As you may have guessed, I am a huge Tonks nerd. I even have Natalia Tena’s autograph…
The point is that I’ve started “The Great Wotcher Revolution”. I’m hoping that one day, “wotcher” will be commonly used as a greeting, and will be put in the American dictionary. And Canadian. Really whoever wants it in their dictionary.
So, why not participate? You say “wotcher”, tell your friends to say “wotcher”, tell them to tell their friends to say “wotcher”… Who knows? It could become something epic!
If you have any videos of a group of people (or several random people) saying “wotcher”, please send me the link in a comment (we especially like YouTube’s ).
