Wotcher Harry Potter fans!
Well, I wouldn’t call it “lied” so much as… became lucky. No, I’m not talking about Infinitus, or the Wizarding World.
Potterholics, I’m talking about the Comic-Con. 😀 I went there two days ago! It was AWESOME! So, first off, I did not get to visit the Harry Potter thing. 😦 When I walked up to the line when we first came there, the worker told us that by the time we were ready to enter it, it would be closed. So, we didn’t waste any time waiting in a line for 5 hours for nothing. The worker said that people started lining up the night before it, camping out overnight.
While I was there, I basically acted like myself. Which is to say, a nerd. One of the best parts about Comic-Con is that you’re amongst people who are just like you (or maybe a little more extreme in some cases.). I won’t tell you about everything I did (unless you asked) but I will do some Harry Potter reporting. I took a lot of pictures because I thought you guys might have wanted to see some of it. 🙂
So, all the pictures that you are about to see here are part of the Exhibit Hall. (I took all of these pics myself, by the way 🙂 ).That is what most people think of when they think about Comic-Con. It has lots of stands and areas… It’s almost impossible to describe. I purchased some really awesome HP merchandise here though. 🙂
The pictures below are from the LEGO area of the Exhibit Hall, featuring LEGO statues of Harry Potter characters that are almost life-sized, I would say they were only a couple of inches off, depending on how tall you think the characters were.
(wait, is it just me or does Harry look like he’s a Hufflepuff 😉 )
Next, I saw a bunch of display cases dedicated to fan merchandise! It looks like those were built for me. 🙂 There were a few other cases besides the Harry Potter one, such as the Twilight (I haven’t read the books or seen the movies yet, so I guess I’m not very opinionated), and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
After that, I headed over to the Tonner Doll display, and found a few Harry Potter dolls!
I was just walking around, finding different areas that I liked, when I stumbled across a pair of Quidditch goggles:
Next I went over to the Gentle Giant display case, and yes, there was a Harry Potter section:
And, guess what? There was this HUGE Voldemort bust on top of a really tall platform, it was amazing!! I was literally jumping up and screaming. 😀
I went back to the LEGO area and found a bunch of Harry Potter LEGO sets that haven’t even come out yet! They were really cool:
I had a truly amazing experience at Comic-Con, it was definitely the best day of my life! 😀 I met a very special person who just totally made me feel dizzy for about twenty minutes, I could hardly say a word to him, but I did anyway. 🙂 This was an experience I will never forget, and I’m looking forward to next year!
